Bassen breaks five !
It was a little windy last night, but at least it didn't rain. There were a lot of decent times posted. In the mile Jake looked comfortable coming home in 4:46 (?) but the real story was several places further back. John broke through the elusive five minute barrier and ran 4:54. Ask any miler and they will be able to give you all the details from their first sub 5 race, it is a huge psychological milestone. Jordan, one of the new up and coming freshmen, ran 5:15 in his first mile ever. Not bad for a soccer player.
Brian looked great for the first 2/3 of his quarter.
Andrew and Dennis pushed each other in the 800 and the 3200 with Dennis taking both tapes.
And the mile relay featured a blended team, half Bay and half Shorewood, a combo that will probably never be seen again.
I'll be happy to write about the girl's if Sarah or someone can e-mail me some numbers.
