Hard work pays off

Running is one of the rare sports where a total lack of "natural" talent can be overcome by hard work and courage. Runners World has an interview with Brian Sell here . He has been averaging 140 miles a week in preparation for the Boston Marathon and just had a peak week of 162 miles. He is hoping to run 2:12 ( that's a 5 flat pace). Notice at the end he mentions that his best two mile in high school was 10:06. That means that he is where he is because of guts and hard work. It takes time, but anyone can be a good runner if they are crazy enough.
